Fabian,

I'm not aware of any method to accomplish this task. Another thing to note
is that when you use the getURL method, it will prmopt the web capture
dialog -- which probably isn't something you want popping up in the readers
face every time they navigate to a different document.

I'll keep thinking about this one, and if i work out a way to do this, I
will be sure to let you know...

Regards,
Chris.

hi chris thanks for your answer.
what i want to do is, i would like to create a
getURL(javascript:history.go(-2)'); link,
wich jumps to the named destination (e.g. page=10) where the user was coming
from.

now if i jump from pdf A to pdf B i have a link like B.pdf?Var=10. then i
want to create the above getURL history backlink
where i would like to refer to the page where the user came from. in this
example it would be page 10.

do you have an idea how i could set this link up?
thanks for your answer.
fabian

Is there something specific you are looking to do here?

>From the browser you can use the querystring to specify where in the PDF
document to open to.

E.g. http://www.yoursite.com/pdffilename.pdf#page=15 (This would open PDF to
page 15).

Or, if you have named destinations created in your PDF, you can open
directly to those.

E.g. http://www.yoursite.com/pdffilename.pdf#nameofdestination
