What sort of links are you talking about here? WWW links, links to other parts of your document... If the link visualization is retained when converted to PDF, it might be possible to develop a custom plug-in that would scan a PDF document for the font style/size used for links, and then recreate that link. This would probably only work where the link is a WWW link and is represented with the actual adddress - e.g. www.planetpdf.com. - Chris. ___________________________________ Chris Dahl - CTO ARTS PDF Solutions [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.aroundtablesolution.com/ ARTS - A Round Table Solution -----Original Message----- From: Christian Presslmayer [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, June 28, 2003 7:47 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [PDFdev] recreating links in converted pdf-documents Hello there, we use the activePDF server component to convert various types of office documents to pdf, what really works great. But one thing really doesn't work well: if there are links in the source-document and we convert the document to pdf, the link visualization is correct, but the link itself doesn't work anymore. I posted this problem to activePDF, but the say, this feature is not supported .( I searched for components, which let me recreate the link-functionality after the conversion (what is possible in the acrobat writer itself manually) - but I was not able to find a solution. Doest anybody know a solution or workaround for my problem? Thanks for your help!
