Our raw data is obtained from the workstations and the final file
distribution is through the Solaris workstations too, so copying files to
PC then copy them back to the workstations is not the ideal solution.

will generally do some of what you are describing however they only run on
Windows.
The Editor will perform a batch search and replace for bookmarks (or
selected text within bookmarks).
