Hello Maggie, In message <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Maggie Yeong <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes >I'm using Adobe FrameMaker 6.0 and Adobe Acrobat 5.0 to generate PDF >files for company products. > >We develop software product, and need to have a "context-sensitive link" >function to link the application (AP) to PDF file's named destination. >For example, if I set a shortcut key (F1) in AP, when I opened a dialog box >in the AP and press F1, I would like to open the PDF file and jump to the >bookmarked destination that describes the functions ofthe active dialog >box. On Windows, you can use Adobe Reader and send it a DDE message to open a PDF at a specific named destination. See the Inter-Application Communication (IAC) document available on the partners.adobe.com web site or with the Acrobat SDK. If you want to do this on Unix, we have a product called Name It Launcher which will do this with Adobe Reader by the use of sockets.
