We have been having problems with linearized PDF files that we generate being displayed with Acrobat 6.0 running on Windows. When the files are displayed with the "Allow fast web view" preference turned on, only the first page is displayed. All subsequent pages are displayed as small empty square boxes.
Displayed where? In the Pages panel? In the main display?
Turning the option off allows the same files with the same data to be displayed correctly. Previous version of Acrobat display the files correctly Has anyone come across the problem before? Is there some change to the way that PDF files need to be linearized?
If you are talkign about the display in the thumbnails panel, it was a change in Acrobat to BETTER implement linearization.
In the past, if you had the thumbnails panel open on a file that was linearized, you would end up losing all the advantages of linearization since Acrobat ended up having to download the file/data in order to display those panels.
Now it only grabs stuff as needed - as it should have...
