thread. I am planning to do some minor changes for better string handling
which should increase a throughput a bit, but the main problem is still
(IMO)
in QSA which is  harder to solve.

I really would like to help debugging, I can program a bit (Im a
embedded engineer), is there some extra debugging messages that I can
enable?


The only way in the runtime is to set the debug level to the maximum (see
http://pdfedit.petricek.net/pdfedit.user_doc#id2500684).
