I should probably report this as a bug, except I can't find the bug
tracker.
I had pdfedit running happily in cygwin, until this afternoon I went to
launch it and nothing happened. It now launches happily if I delete
~/.pdfedit/history, but when it closes it recreates the file and I have
to delete it again. If I don't delete it pdfedit runs (taking up 20%
CPU), but the gui never appears.
The workaround is to create a file ~/.pdfedit instead of the directory,
or a folder ~/.pdfedit/history instead of the file.
