I just installed PDL 2.017 from cpan in a freshly installed
debian/testing system using perlbrew. I made a manual installation in
order to make sure all of the parts of PDL I use would be
installed. To that end, I installed manually the prerequisites listed
in the file DEPENDENCIES. However, I got an error, due to the absence
of the package Test::Exception. I was able to
finish succesfully my installation after installing it. I
found that Test::Exception is listed in Makefile.PL, but I guess it
would be convenient to add it to DEPENDENCIES. On the other hand, when
I ran pdl2 I got an error due to a missing package
Sys::SigAction. The error got away after I installed Sys::SigAction. I
guess that is actually a Devel::REPL, not a PDL error, but it affects
users running PDL with no idea about Devel::REPL, so maybe it should
also be listed in DEPENDENCIES and in Makefile.PL.

Best regards,
Luis
