Fill a sink with tepid water ( say around 20ºC) with a bit of
PhotoFlo. Put the film roll in the sink of water and try to get
the entire length of the roll wet as quickly as possible. You
won't be able to unroll it for several minutes, but you can
"flex" the roll from side to side to work water inside it. Be
careful not to scratch it. Eventually, after a few minutes, the
emulsion will soften enough that you should be able to unroll
the film. Keep it submerged for the entire process, then rinse
in fresh water with Photoflo, and hang to dry. I have had very
good success salvaging delicate film in this method.

Subject: Old neg roll

into a tube. I want to make it flat again. When gently trying to
unroll it it feels almost like I am about to break it, and I
don't want to do that.
