yes they do exist. pentax makes one. it will auto focus any lens f2.8 or faster. i did own one at one time and it works. they are about $75.00 or more.
I know I'm naive. This has got to be a rib, right? A "teleconverter" that converts "A" lenses to "AF"? (And can be used on ZX, AF type camera bodies?) Where can I get one, and what do they cost???
