Just wanted to say how much I appreciate everyone's input and help with
my various questions. I've learned a lot and hope to learn more. Thanks
again.

(And if the above post looks familar, it's because I stole it from Tom
Brock's post. But my sentiments are exactly the same... Just a little lazy,
that's all...)

Finally made my decision. Spent a little more than I wanted to, but then
again, who doesn't? Ordered from BH a new ZX-M with an FG AA battery pack,
and the FA 50mm 1.4 lens. My thinking went as follows: I'll keep the ZX-M in
good condition so's I can always sell it later on ebay. They're going now
for about $100 there, so essentially I get either to keep it if it really
hits the mark for me, or just pay out maybe $50 for using it for a while.
And I definitely wanted a 50mm f1.4. (Always used a good, fast low light
lens all my life, and hey, I'm 62 now and don't feel like changing just
because f3.8/f4 28-80 zooms have become S.O.E., y'know?)

I've read good things about this FA 1.4 lens everywhere, so if I decide at a
later date to trade up to a ZX-5n, it goes there with me. Along with the AA
battery pack. That's what strikes me as being so good about Pentax; this
back and forth compatability with equipment... (Hey, I've still got my
manual Canon TX, with a good FD 1.8 lens, but when I looked to use it on a
more modern Canon those folks there told me to forget about it, this lens is
now basically without any value, they said!) (Some nerve!) (Sheeesh!)

So. Happy clicking. To all. (And * #^%&*** to Canon too !)

Thanks to your knowlegeable responses to me in this group, and also your
directing me to good links for further Pentax research, I've seemed to have
become somewhat of a Pentax mini-gearhead, in a hurry! Which is great fun.

(And IMO, the pictures on PUG are of excellent quality!)
