Don't know about the Nikon but the Canon cannot be compared to the Pentax. The Pentax
FA 50/1.7 is well made lens; the Canon 50/1.8 is plastic all through - even the mount.
The glass is held in place by plastic clips. I believe a comparison with the FA 50/1.4
and 50/1.4 lenses by Nikon and Canon is a more fair comparison.
