I had something similar happen to my 6x7, though I was able to
salvage the terminal. I suspect from what it looked like that
you should be able to unscrew the retaining ring from the FP
terminal, remove the terminal and put it into the x-sync socket,
then screw the retainer ring in the x-socket in. This presumes
you can get the retaining rings off of both sockets. I sent mine
in for repair when I broke mine, and had the fp socket wired
parallel to the x socket at that time. I can't plug in two
flashes, the circuitry won't handle the load, but if I bust a
socket again, I have redundancy.
