Roger: I'm not sure if you mean you are now detemrined to make this gift,
 or are reconsidering doing so.

Nah, instant greed prompted that statement. "Valuable" as in City Park
department archives as to "Valuable" that someone in the future would pay
handsomely for the prints. I'll gift the prints to the City Park Department.

Roger: Your city probably has an archive and an archivist. Ask if they'd like
copies or even the negatives. Be aware that their concern is not necessarily
with artistic merit.

Their interests coincide with mine, in that thousands over the next year will
see the exhibit, my name (as photographer) will be noted among the
contributors. The mileage I get and contacts I make will be considerable, and
more than likely in the near future, profitable.

Roger The fly in this particular pot of ointment is that everyday photos
don't have a lot of value *today*. That's why so few will survive to the
point of being of historical interest.

I expect the city's historical archives will be the custodians into
perpetuity. Any expansion of the Nature Center (planned into 2014), will most
likely include parts of the series as in "before" expansion images Vs
"after."
I do have rights of first refusal regarding reprints (brochures and the like)
and so, have some control over their distribution.

Thanks for the cautions though.
