In other words: "The new camera has a better AF system, but I am not
interested in AF.  So the new camera is NOT better than the old one."

That's not logic that I can agree with.

My thoughts on the MZ-S are that FOR ME it is not worth upgrading.  The
only significant advantage FOR ME is the data imprinting and pseudo MLU.
If Paal is right with his $1700 price for the MZ-S, I am not willing to
spend that much money for these features.  I am disappointed that the MZ-S
will not do flash compensation with my AF500FTZ flash, and will probably
not work with my current remote cord F.

At this point I have a 5n for casual AF shooting and an LX for serious MF
work.  If I din't have the 5n, however, I would be hot on the MZ-S.
