It should have no effect since the volume of developer is increased to
provide the correct amount for each roll. This works fine if each roll
requires the same processing. Problems can come about if any of the
included rolls require specialized processing in which case these should be
developed seperately.

Subject: Developing B/W Film w/ Mike J.
Mike, I recently read something you said on the list in regards to number
of film rolls developed at one time. I think you said something like you
were developing 3 rolls at one time and I would guess you were using a 4
roll tank. Is this so you don't put a strain on the developer in regards to
it's capacity? Would developing 4 rolls of 36 exposure film in a 4 roll
tank vs. 3 rolls result in thinner negs overall or maybe just
underdevelopment in the shadows? I'm using Xtol 1:1 currently, but I'm
using the Ilford method of agitating once every minute for 10 seconds if
that makes any difference. This isn't just for Mike, anyone with a thought
or opinion is welcome to respond. Jim
