When I was first starting in photography, I was using a Pentax H1 (which I
still have and it still works).  Standard fair for the commercial studio I
worked at in Denver, Colorado, was Leica rangefinder models.  Every fall they
went to the repair shop to be "winterized" while my Pentax kept right on
working.  There is a lot to be said for the simplicity of the Spotmatics and
K1000s.  Especially this time of year.
