I recently bid on a 2x convertor but lost was out bid.
The winner of the auction contacted me an said the item was not what he wanted and asked if I was interested.

He claims he"
The two lenses that I was planing on using the converter on are (1)
70-210 Sigma and (2) 100-300 Sigma , both of which are everyday consumer
lenses and not Pro Lenses which the Converter is compatable with.
Your lenses of course would also have to be the Pro versions for the unit
to be of use."

I was un-aware of a 'Pro Lense'. What differences exist between pro and standard??

Basically all I am after is a APO 2x for the MZ-S, I am aware that older
2x Adaptors do not have the autofocus, but still allow metering etc.
....
I have the Apo 2x EX converter, I use it with the 2.8/70-200 EX Sigma zoom on my MZ-S: the optical result is very good. You can see an example at:

The SIGMA bayonet is not achieved as well that on the PENTAX: 3 screws of fixings only for a zoom of 1,2 kg (!), all as on the converter whose screws are indeed small. There is all interest to fix the whole on the foot by means of the necklace of the objective! Cams of closing of the diaphragm and return of the order ring are precise and without resistance to the movement. The female mount of the converter doesn't possess the springs steel of correction of game of the PENTAX settings, but only of the cleft small wings playing the role of spring, less resistant and efficient, from where a risk of game to the long.
