Pretty much any camera that reads light off the focusing screen shares this problem. The Nikon F3 and I believe the Canon F1 had eyepiece blinds that could be closed to keep light out of the viewfinder specifically to overcome this issue. Alpa's method of overcoming this sounds interesting, though neither it nor the brand seemed to catch on. William Robb
