Every now and then I get sick of the colour cliché (mine and others'
  images as well). Then I switch to B&W and suddenly discover the
  subject in the colour chaos. Lately I even put a yellow filter on
  the lens to help me ignore the offending colour. On this picture,
  one wouldn't have made any sense of the colour mosaic:

  Even my colour shooting benefited from the discipline of B&W. I now
  tend to carefully select the palette of colours - the fewer, the
  better:
