I am assuming that it is a real 1.2 since it doesn't look like a F2 which is the
common e-bay 'mistake'.

If that was really a 1.2 lens, it was a bargain...

If I _really_ want something, I have decided I'll go all out to begin
with. Put down the top dollar I'd pay for the item if I saw it on my
dealer's shelf. Be honest. Make your limit realistic and fair to
yourself and budget.

Then, eBay keeps adding the minimum increment to each bid that
surpasses yours, until they reach your limit, no action required on
your part.

After that, you frequently have to say, "Oh, well." when you just
barely miss it.

I've done that several times. No, a LOT of times! <g>
