Today my local dealer, who had been researching availability and price,
advised the new MZ-S is scheduled for delivery in June and the price
would be $1440.00 CDN. However, the Pentax rep says he thinks delivery
may not happen till fall. By way of comparison, the Nikon F100 retails
for about $2100 here, so in relative terms I feel the MZ-S offers
excellent value; and the user interface and overall design is much more
appealing to me.
My dealer will bring one in for me as soon as he can. So now I will be
on tenter hooks in anticipation of delivery.
