All problems in photography are related to "dormancy." Not just with
cameras...but also with working. If ever someone is complaining about much
of anything--can't find the right camera, is photography dead, does film
compare with digital, not happy with his shooting skills, not happy with his
pictures, whatever--it can usually be cured by simply MORE TIME SPENT
SHOOTING. You don't actually have to shoot more, although that works too.
But getting interested in something, getting out more, running film, seeing
more pictures, working on something, making some prints--these things are
usually a cure. They cause satisfaction. They banish dyspepsia. Working
always helps.
