Hi folks, According to the Pentax Japan site, they have started what they call the "Pentax Pickup Repair Service".
It is much like some of the laptop repair service in that, Pentax send packaging material for the item requiring repair service, pick it up at the desired time, repair and return/deliver to the designated location. The cost is 1,800yen ($10) flat (plus repair cost if out of warranty, of course) regardless of the item or location (in Japan). From the delivery of packaging material, repair and return delivery takes between 7 to 10 days. This can also be ordered through the internet. "Internet quotation" for the repair/service will also start soon. Looks like Pentax are really gearing up for the total service. Cheers, Ken
