I've been quite pleased with mine. Just be aware that at 4000 dpi you'll start pulling the grain out of some film types, resulting in a "speckly" chroma noise appearance, especially in light colored areas. For stuff that you're not planning to print large, 2000 dpi will do fine and show less of the "chroma noise". For stuff you are going to print large, scan at 4000 dpi and futz around with selective Gaussian blur and such like to reduce the "chroma noise" where it's noticable. TTYL, DougF KG4LMZ
