I don't have the A, but I have a K , 2 M's and an FA. My informal
observations are that the K is the best of the bunch wide open, slightly
better than the FA, more so vs. the M's. However, I by f/2 I can detect no
discernable difference (typically 8x10 portraits on 100 speed B&W film) and
in fact prefer the bokeh of the FA/M's to the K.

This isn't to say that someone shooting a test target with a camera on a
tripod might not detect some differences, but I prefer to see how a lens
performs for what I use it for. When I am shooting with a 50, I typically
do not use apertures smaller than about f/4.5. If I think that I'll need to
shoot wide open, I'll use the K, otherwise, generally I'll use one of the
M's, or occasionaly the FA. I should probably sell the FA.
