Also only full stops between f16 - f32;  1/2 stops only available from f4 to
f16.  My aperture ring is solid, in fact the whole lens is solid and the optical
quality is excellent. This lens is also the smallest 28-70 2.8 on the market and
a perfect match to a Pentax body.  BTW, I have just orderd the new 100 mm - 300
mm f4 EX and 20 mm f1.8 and it was my satisfaction with the 28-70 that led me to
expand my Sigma line of lenses.  These three lenses, along with the 105 mm 2.8
macro, provide me with all the glass I need for what I shoot.  Mind you, if I
were rich, the 500 mm f4.5 and 14 mm 2.8 would be nice!!
