Hi William,

I opted for the Minolta Scan Elite II (35mm, 2820 DPI) scanner about a year
or so ago and I don't regret it.

Along with Vuescan it seems to do the trick for me.
It works fine with most kodak B&W as well as Ilford and Fuji.
Granted that you will never (to the best of my knowledge) find a scanner
that can do dust removal/grain correction on B&W film, as long as you have
clean negs and good storage habits you should be fine with it.

Cheers,
Dave

Hi,

Anyone out there have a suggestion on a film scanner that works well with
traditional black and white negatives? How about the new Minolta DiMAGE
Scan Dual III? Any experience? Any helpful hints on scanning traditional
black and white negatives?

Thanks for any input.

William in Utah.
