How important is the "Electronic cable release socket cap", that little bit of plastic that covers the socket for the cable release on the ZX-M and related bodies?
I did not use the cap on one of Pz-1p's, and as a result one of the pins was bent every so slightly. It was more bent after I tried to put on the cable release, and fell off entirely when I tried to straighten it with a pen knife (I was standing in a swamp a half mile from my car.)
I now use the little caps - but the bright side of my experience is I finally figured out how to shoot with a long telephoto and not use the cable release.
