I have not read much about the *istD. If it is like the MZ-30 for
example, it just will not fire the shutter. If it's like the MZ-50 and
if these things have adjustable ISO setting for the film (I know they
have no film, but I am sure at least some have ISO references), then
you may be able to do it without surgery.
