I have the Sears 135mm with the macro function. It is a fine performer, in
my eyes. After some 25 years, when I used to shoot for a major daily
newspaper and write, I have rediscovered the joy of photography. Within this
list, I've asked what may considered very dumb questions, but I make no
apologies. You don't ask, you don't learn. The list has been gentle with its
responses, and for that, I am grateful. I've also come to understand that
with Sears and several other secondary-market lenses, like Vivitar and a few
others, there are many schools of thought. If you have the opportunity, take
the lens out for a test run, and record every thing you shoot. If YOU like
it, then its a good lens.
cheers - martin
