Does anybody really think the "great enthusiasm" is going to be around for a long time? Why do you only take part of the definition as relevant? Maybe because the whole thing does not support your beliefs? Don't feel bad about doing that though, that is how many people interpret the US Constitution, ignore the parts they don't like.
