I actually use a very thin pressure sensitive tape. The tape can be laid on the 
back of the covering then trimmed accurately using a knife from the front face. 
The backing paper is then simply peeled away and the covering stuck back on. I 
personally wouldn't touch glues, I've seen the mess repairers have made on my 
cameras :-(
