It's not as ludicrous as it sounds.  :)  A pinhole drilled in a plastic body
cap would be difficult, and the material too thick to make a usable pinhole,
so the pinhole would have to be on a thin piece of metal, mounted to the
front of the body cap, and the body cap would then need a larger hole to not
obscure the light path, hence "drilled to hold the pinhole".

As far as being deeply disturbed, the jury is still out on that one.  :)
