Yep, that is the critter. Slide it to M (manual diaphagm) and the lens stops down, slide it to A (Auto-diaphagm) and it stays open until you hit he shutter button. Since I haven't had a screw mount Pentax since I sold my H-3 which I bought new in 1961, I think I can be forgiven for calling it a button (grin).

I am looking at the SuperTak 35mm, I bought from Collin and, uh, I don't see one.

I see a switch that is M or A. Is that what you mean? Doesn't seem right, but if it is, which one stops down?
