This weekend I was taking a picture of a nice scene with my *ist D and my F35-135 3.5-4.5 and turned my back to the tripod for a second to find my kids or something. When I looked again it was about six inches from smacking the ground, lens-first. Nothing I could do but watch in shock and frustration. The lens is NFG but the camera is fine.
On unstable ground, always keep a hand on your gear. Cory stood there for about a minute, not wanting to see what damage his carelessness had wrought. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
