Sorry, guys - I have to retract a bit. I have done what I have advised others not to 
do, namely to test parfocality casually. You need a tripod and accurate focusing. Now 
when I did put the lens on a LX with the Magni-Finder FE-1 and used tripod - and 
focused as accurately as I could - I found out that the focus does not change when 
zooming. I´d say that it is physically impossible to focus so accurately at 24 mm - 
even with the Magni-Finder - that the focus would be spot on still at 90 mm. The 
inaccuracy is small, though. If you do it the other way round, the lens stays in 
perfect focus. BTW the zooming action is smooth.
