Among the B&Ws I find the "grayscale" the most pleasing, "tvs" second.

"tanyas" doesn't count as grayscale or B&W since it is slightly sepia. Other than 
that, I might have preferred that one...

Anyway, it shows that all methods seem to be useful.

Btw, Tanya - since you've been asking about various Photoshop techniques - have you 
made the curves-tool part of your image processing skills?
Just came to think of it, since a few of the pictures could do with a slight "bend" in 
order to increase shadow detail of the lady's pants (or are they trousers), as some of 
it gets lost in the conversion.
