My sister gave me the National Geographic Digital Photography Field Guide. In it the author, Rob Sheppard, describes how to use two exposures of the same scene to expose for the highlights and shadows more effectively. Obviously, a tripod and static subject are necessary. I have not tried it, but intend to at some point. Christian
