They are poor performers relative to sensors the density of the *ist D, they 
also start becoming unsharp from f11 due to diffraction effects.

Even at 10MP on an APS sensor you are starting to ask a lot from your lenses 
and body including ultra-precise focus in order for it to make a difference.
