The Jupiter 85/2 is a copy of the Zeiss 85/2 for Contax...
and it shares many of the attributes for which Zeiss is known for.
There is more to a lens besides sharpness... esp. a lens which is
more likely to be designated for potraiture.

Being slightly soft wide open to about f4 is very useful for potraiture,
and it is speculated it is actually part of the design attribute of the
original zeiss lens.

Another 85mm lens in screwmount worth a look is the Helios 40
which is a 85/1.5 . I paid US$70 for mine in Zenit M39 mount
and maybe another US$10 for an adaptor to use it in M42.
The M42 black versions are available for US$110, if you can
find them.

Not too sharp, but good for portraits, or available light people
photography. (I've used mine for weddings at f4 as well.)
When stopped down it gets definitely sharper, one of my friends
uses his one for macro work.
Bokeh is very nice, thank to the close to circular (15 blades?)
diaphragm.

Compact, well built lens.49mm filters.
The non- or single coated ones may have some flare problems.

Recently I sold mine and got a Zeiss Pancolar 1.8/80 instead,
which is much better opically, especially wide open.

I haven't heard of one...
