At first blush, it could be a family snapshot, but after a second, one realizes that there's way more going on here.
It has a certain "low brow" feel to it, yet the composition is amazing (I love the way the two bodies play off each other, the dark couch and white wall, I could go on...), and the sharp subject and out of focus background, including the female figure tell us that this ain't no ordinary photo.
