I often wonder what the origins of the "obscure" lens brands were.  Many
come with "Store" specific brand names and you can bet that they were all
made by a common manufacturer somewhere in the far east.  Some may even be
clones of better known brands.  I wonder if anyone out there has ever tried
to do a family tree. If so you can bet that there's a page somewhere on the
internet with the details.  I have a KA mount (the A bit doesn't work) 24mm
f2.8 "Miranda" which I use lots - often wonder about it's origins.
