You need to go look in the archive at a discussion a couple of weeks ago. Because of the 'film' size on the *ist-D (aka the 'magnification factor"), a slide duplicator forces you to crop your image. To get a full frame slide onto digital we need about a .75:1 rather than a 1:1 - 1:2 IIRC
