I bought a cheap Vivitar ring light that does ONLY TTL.  I used it once on
my D and it seemed ok....  I'll play with it tonight and send you some
results so you can see for yourself.  I don't believe it has a very high GN.

GN 59 (ISO 100/Ft).

Personally I'd like to get an AF 140C but they are way out of my price range
at this point.  The nice thing about the 140 is the ability to use one or
both tubes for better light control.
