I chimed in at the time... The one I bought for mine is an HN-2 for a Nikon 28mm lens and one of their 28-something zooms. It seems to help and does not viginette, but I haven't used Shel's filter stack test. No, it does not allow the use of the lens cap, as it has no threads on the outer edge. I think Shel said he had a better solution.....
