I've seen the Pentax 100-300 selling for less than $150. Lenses in this price range seem to go quite cheap. Just stick out your chin and buy another one.

While emptying the truck from camping last Sunday my 70-300 Sigma fell out

I didn't have the heart to look at it until just now. Landed heavy on the
corner of the rear lens cap, marks on the side and the attached lens hood.
Zoom and focus are very sluggish. Tried it on the D*ist. camera has a very
hard time focusing the lens. Enough so that I'd fear doing damage to the
camera body using this lens.

I suppose I'm looking for another lens in this range.
I like this lens. It's the Sigma 70-300 APO Macro Super.
But I guess I'm looking for something similar and as good or better.
Suggestions? Offerings?

Cory
Friday not looking as good anymore
