I have a colleague here (organic chemist) who got her BS from MIT and her PhD from Caltech. We had to have her pocket protector surgically removed. The part of her education she is proudest of, however, is that she started grad school at Yale, hated it and left. I think she got an MS, but she refuses to acknowledge it . . .
