You cant scan negs without the transparancy
attachment to the flatbed..
you need the light from the top as well as the
bottom - is that the problem ?
the orange gets corrected to real color using the
proper hardware and settings.
i'm using an Epson 1640sup and it works fine.

Am I missing something here?
