I guess all real future innovation in camera technology will be in the digital department. However, most of our film cameras will still work fine in twenty years. At least I believe my K1000 will still be working fine when *ist D, Canon EOS 1Ds, Nikon 2DH etc. are long dead and gone. Of course, I wonder if I will :-/.
And they will keep making film as long as there's a demand. The problem may be scanners and printers, spare parts etc. Jens Bladt mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://hjem.get2net.dk/bladt -----Oprindelig meddelelse----- Fra: Kenneth Waller [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sendt: 16. juni 2004 19:19 Til: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Emne: Re: Nikon to abandon film... I have been told, by a Nikon sponsored pro, that there will be no new Nikon SLR film camera. Now I guess the question is what does new mean? Would a slightly modified F5 count as new or not? Kenneth Waller -----Original Message----- From: Sarbu Alexandru <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: Nikon to abandon film... Yes, but please ignore Phil's comments and read only the article. "Kimura said Nikon had no plans to stop producing film SLRs, but that it may next year start considering pulling out of the film compact camera business due to a sharp plunge in demand." It's clear that SLRs will be next, but imho not in the near future. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Read only the mail you want - Yahoo!
